Welcome to IDAH

During the 2017-2018 academic year, the Institute for Digital Arts & Humanities will explore the theme Making the Arts and Humanities, which will highlight the various ways of applying makerspace methods and technology to research, pedagogy, and artistic expression. Making the Arts and Humanities will expand the social justice issues brought to the fore as part of last year's IDAH programming by exploring makerspaces as low-barrier, inclusive environments. In these makerspaces, content, methods, and tools are critically explored as a means to foster conversations and collaborations between STEM, the arts, and humanities. These making initiatives are part of our larger mission to connect with faculty and students in the arts and humanities whose interests converge with interests in science, social science and technology.
