This workshop provides a preview for instructors looking to incorporate digital methods into their classroom, including mapping, network analysis, and text analysis.-
Using digitally-inflected methods can help students engage more deeply with the material and content than they may otherwise in a traditional lecture-based setting. This approach also encourages development of students’ digital literacy and critical engagement with digital tools – within the classroom, and as part of their future careers.
In this workshop, you will:
- learn how digital tools can enhance education in the humanities – and beyond
- identify skills, resources, and strategies for creating digitally inflected lesson plans
- see examples of digitally inflected course projects
- identify teaching goals or needs you could meet using digital methods
