Do you have research or personal materials you wish to digitize, such as 35 mm slides, photographs, field notes, VHS recordings, maps, correspondence, journals, lab notes, scrapbooks, or oral histories? Are you interested in digitally mining or providing access to scanned materials with analysis and online publishing software? The Digital Collections Services department will be hosting an all-day Scan-athon at the Scholars' Commons Digitization Lab, a multimedia lab dedicated to the digital conversion of materials and the management and migration of born-digital objects in support of the research needs and interests of Indiana University Bloomington's faculty, students, and staff. The Scan-athon will be staffed with digitization experts who will provide one-on-one help with digital conversion of materials and provide guidance for storage, metadata creation, analysis, and access. Stop by anytime between 10 am and 4 pm and bring your items you wish to digitize. We look forward to helping you!
